Hello to all our kind followers, nearly 1000 of you since I announced the Retro Room a couple of weeks back. And thanks for all of the encouragement and questions too. We thought I'd give you a quick update on where I'm at and what to expect in the next few months as the Retro Room moves towards a permanent venue. So yep, let's start there!

I've a few options for a permanent venue and therefore a lot of balls in the air at the moment (like human Pang if you'll indulge me) but really isn't all that really a lovely problem to have? No matter how it all pans out Belfast will be getting a permanent arcade in a city centre location very soon.

I've been chasing this wee dream since about 1999 when I was looking for premises for what was going to be called the Factory Gaming Arena (yes I was marginally obsessed with Factory Records at the time) but for various reasons mostly relating to my potential co founder getting his big break on TV, that didn't work out.

Fast forward a few years and during the pandemic the itch returned and mostly two recurring thoughts, first I fucking miss arcades they were great and secondly why doesn;t Belfast have one?
